Thanks for stopping by. I’m Brandi. I do a lot of different things but am a trained primatologist, behavioral ecologist, researcher, educator, and realtime text interpreter. I have authored two book chapters and five scientific research papers, presented my research on wild primates at multiple conferences, and my work has been funded by a number of different organizations, including the Wenner-Gren Foundation and the L.S.B. Leakey Foundation. I have trained over a hundred students in the field in southern Africa and the Lemur Conservation Foundation in Florida and hundreds of students in the classroom. In my 17 years of experience teaching in higher education, I have taught courses including Biological Bases of Human Social Behavior; Primatology; The Great Apes; Introduction to Biological Anthropology; Wilderness First Aid; and Primate Behavior, Ecology, and Conservation. I have also provided realtime text interpreting services to clients with disabilities both on-site and remotely for the past 14 years. I currently live in Colorado where I enjoy hiking, roller skating, napping, traveling when I can, and poking holes in my comfort zone.
Feel free to wander around my virtual space here and send me a message if you’d like.
